“The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.” – Erin Morgenstern, The Night Circus
One of my top 3 favorite books of all time – The Night Circus. I discovered this book as part of my company’s book club this past fall and devoured it as quickly as I could, while also taking my time so it would not end! You would not be remiss to snag this book for your summer lounging on the beach or relaxing or whatever it is you prefer to do in the summer.
The Night Circus was the inspiration behind my first aerial performance in April. I chose a black and white theme, something with a vintage circus feel. Although I did not add a dash of red like a reveur, as I chose to represent a performer in the Le Cirque des Rêves, I would like to believe I paid homage to the book with my static trapeze performance.
Now on the cusp of beginning my next performance piece, I would like to share with you some images of my last performance as well as a video of my static trapeze piece performed for Aerial Fit‘s Dreams Showcase in April of 2016.
Be on the lookout for our next showcase coming up at the very end of September. I hope to see everyone there. In the meantime, if you are wanting to try something new, Aerial Fit has many great classes for beginners and beyond in Charleston. I hope to see you at some of them!
I could hardly believe it was you!!! I saw the video once but can’t find it again. You looked like the professional you are. Just beautiful – love, granny
